BlindX
The Aim
of the BlindX Project
Why do simple mistakes occur in kana-kanji conversion, even in this era of AI? Can AI dramatically improve conversion accuracy?
This is the idea that sparked the project.
The goal is to evolve language interfaces through AI, aiming to build a more intelligent relationship between humans and computers, and to support the connection between people, society, and computers.
BlindX is being developed by a team from AXTech.Care Inc. and Matsuzawa Laboratory, Department of Information Sciences, Faculty of Science and Technology, Tokyo University of Science, under this vision.

As the first stage, we will implement a high-accuracy kana-kanji conversation system for Japanese input.
Features of BlindX
- Various input modalities
- No need for explicit conversion operations
- Highly accurate conversion that understands the surrounding context
- Automatic correction of input errors based on context by AI
- Support for various expressions, including literary, colloquial, and contemporary language
- Acquisition of vocabulary aligned with the times, based on collective intelligence
And more
(*The above includes content currently under development.)
BlindX aims to contribute to a new, unseen input method, pursuing a novel AI interface between humans and computers.
NEWDemo1 : Comparison Demo with Other Kana-Kanji Conversion Systems to Demonstrate the High Conversion Accuracy of BlindX
- This demo compares the conversion accuracy of BlindX, which automatically converts inputted Hiragana sentences into Kana-Kanji mixed sentences in real time, with the Japanese conversion capabilities of other companies' systems.
- You can verify the high conversion accuracy of BlindX.
※This comparison demo evaluates the basic functionality of both BlindX and other Japanese conversion systems without utilizing any user-specific dictionary features.
Additionally, while BlindX enables Kana-Kanji conversion without requiring any manual operations, thereby reducing the time needed to create Kana-Kanji mixed sentences, the comparison assumes that the conversions are performed at the same timing.
NEWDemo2 : High-Accuracy Kana-Kanji Sentence Auto-Generation Demo from Voice Input (Incl. Auto-Correction)
- This technology demo showcases the ability to convert spoken words into accurate Kana-Kanji mixed sentences via an existing speech recognition system, automatically generating high-precision captions and enabling the creation of accurate Japanese sentences.
- In this demo video, even if the existing speech recognition system misinterprets the input, BlindX recognizes the errors and automatically corrects them.
※This demo demonstrates a use case where an existing third-party speech recognition system generates a Hiragana sentence, which BlindX then converts into a Kana-Kanji mixed sentence.
BlindX is designed to generate Japanese sentences by integrating with various existing speech recognition systems.
Other Demo 3 : Keyboard Text Input(Live Conversion)
- Kana-kanji conversion is automatically performed by AI based on the context, so you don't need to think about the conversion.
- Since it understands the surrounding context, previously converted words are also corrected to ensure they fit accurately within the sentence.
Other Demo 4 : Live Chat Input(Live Conversion)
- This demo showcases a chat web application implementing BlindX, enabling live chat across multiple devices.
- Trained on millions of sentences from various contexts, BlindX accurately converts even the soft expressions of everyday conversation.
- It understands the context of all chat participants and performs appropriate conversions in real time, even as the situation continuously evolves.
